During my first few days in Nang Rong I rented a motorbike from the P. California guest house where I was staying (no, I don’t know how it got that name). I rode enough to get just a little lost, but I don’t think I got more than 12 kilometers away from town center.
These are some of the pictures I took on that trip. The woman in one of the pictures is the one from whom I asked directions on how to get back. I had been working on my Thai, and was able frame some questions with yes or no answers so that I was able to understand her.
The countryside shows how the middle of October appears as rainy season is ending. This is just outside of Nang Rong to the south.
Canals are everywhere. I think this might be a river, but I'm not sure.
The question was, "Can I continue this way and find another main road? The answer, no.
